History

Your rehearsals

No rehearsals yet. Finished rehearsals appear here, so you can compare runs.

    How to use it

    Rehearse, tap, compare

    Plan the sections

List your slides or sections and how long each should take. Or skip the plan and just time a run.

    Rehearse out loud

Press Start and talk. Tap Next section, or press the space bar, every time you change slide. Pause if you get interrupted.

    Fix what runs long

See each section against its plan. The ones that ran over are marked, so you know exactly what to trim before the next run.

Example. An 8-minute pitch planned as Intro 1:00, The problem 2:00, Demo 4:00 and The ask 1:00. In rehearsal the demo took 5:10, so it is marked +1:10 over, and the run finished at 9:05 against 8:00 planned. Trim the demo, rehearse again, and compare the two runs side by side.

    No microphone, no recording

It only notes when you tap. There is no account, nothing is uploaded, and nothing you type goes in the page address.

    Pauses don't count

Paused time is left out, so every section adds up exactly to your rehearsal time.

    Works on your phone

Big buttons for tapping with one thumb while you hold your notes.

Rehearse with your real slides on your phone

Copresent puts your Google Slides speaker notes, a timer and the slide controls on your phone, so you can practise the way you will present. No second screen needed.

    FAQ

How do I time each slide when I rehearse?

Press Start when you begin talking, then press Next section (or the space bar) each time you move to the next slide or section. The tracker records how long you spent on each one and adds them up for the whole run.

What if I press Next by accident?

Taps less than a second apart count as one, so a double tap doesn't create an empty section. If you still split in the wrong place, use Undo last split, or Join with above on any section. The total doesn't change, only the boundary.

Does it keep time if I switch tabs or my screen locks?

Yes. Times are worked out from when you pressed each button, not by counting ticks, so a background tab can't make the clock drift. If you close or reload the page while saving is on, the rehearsal comes back paused at the moment the page closed.

How is this different from the speech time calculator?

The speech time calculator estimates how long a script will take from its word count. This tracker measures how long it actually took when you said it out loud. Use the estimate to plan each section, then rehearse here to see which sections run over.

    Is anything recorded or uploaded?

No. There is no microphone, no recording and no account. Everything stays in your browser. Rehearsals are only kept on this device if you turn on saving, and you can export or delete them at any time.
