How it works
How do you make cue cards for a presentation?
Paste your notes
Start each card with a line like “Slide 3: Results”, a line of ---, or leave a blank line between cards.
Edit the cards
Reword, reorder, split or merge cards. Cards are numbered for you, so a dropped stack goes straight back in order.
Print or use your phone
Print on paper or index cards, save a PDF, or step through the cards on your phone.
Tips for good cue cards. Keep one idea per card. Use key words, not full sentences, except for your opening and closing lines. Write numbers, names and quotes out exactly. Add a cue like “Pause” or “Click” where you need one.
Your notes stay on your device
Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, saved or added to the page address. Download a file if you want to keep your cards.
No text gets cut off
A long card carries on to the next page instead of being clipped, and the editor flags it so you can split it first.
Your words, unchanged
Nothing is rewritten or added. The cards hold exactly what you typed.

FAQ
What should I write on presentation cue cards?
Key words and short phrases, not your full script. Write out only your opening line, your closing line, and anything you must get exactly right, like numbers, names and quotes. Keep one idea per card so you can glance down and pick up where you are.
How many words should a cue card have?
Fewer than you think. At medium text, a 5 × 3 in card holds about 40 words and a 6 × 4 in card about 70. If you need more, split the card or use a bigger layout, rather than shrinking the text.
How do I print cue cards?
Pick a layout under Card layout, then press Print or save as PDF. In the print dialog, keep the scale at 100%. For index cards, load the cards and choose the matching paper size. For half page, cut along the dashed line.
What happens to text that doesn't fit on one card?
It is never cut off. Text that runs past the end of a card carries on to the next page when printed, and the editor marks any card that is likely to be too long so you can split it first.
Can I come back and edit my cards later?
Yes. Download them as a .json file, then use Open file next time to pick up where you left off. The .txt download is plain text you can edit anywhere and open here again.
Is my text uploaded or saved?
No. The cue card maker runs in your browser. Your notes are never uploaded, saved or put in the page address, and they are gone when you clear them or close the page, unless you download a copy.
